Riccione: The Italian Capital of Dance Sport with 10,000 Athletes from Across Italy
Until February 16, the Playhall in Riccione hosts the most significant competition of the Italian Federation of Dance Sports and Musical Sports (Fidesm), featuring 10,000 athletes and over 20,000 expected attendees.
An Unprecedented Event
Six weekends dedicated to dance between January and February, encompassing 17 days of competitions, entertainment, and passion.
Following the huge success of the MC Hip Hop Contest, which drew 8,000 attendees to the city, the spotlight now turns to the world of dance sport, with a packed schedule of must-see events for athletes and spectators alike.
A Rich and Varied Program
The competitions include six events dedicated to various disciplines, featuring athletes of all age categories, from the youngest (8-11 years) to those over 70.
- Epiphany Weekend: Academic dances
- Second Weekend of January: Street dance and breaking
- January 25-26: Disco dance, jazz, and oriental dances
- February 1-2: Caribbean dances
- February 6-9: Standard and Latin-American dances
- February 13-16: Choreographic and para dance
These championships provide athletes with the opportunity to qualify for international competitions, including World, European, and World Cup championships.
The events are open to the public, and tickets can be purchased directly at the Playhall (Viale Carpi, 24) one hour before the start of each competition.
